Wonder What Might be Ahead? DeKalb Delegation to Hold Town Hall Meetings

WATCH OUT!  2013 will be here before you know it and your DeKalb
delegation wants to give you a few clues about what might be around the
next bend.  Meetings to be held Dec. 13, Jan. 3 and Jan. 8.

SUGGESTED QUESTIONS:

"Do you think the DeKalb delegation should
hold these types of meetings BEFORE you decide what
exactly it is that we would like you to do on our behalf in the coming year?"

"So, what you are saying is that you have already had your
ALEC meetings so you know what canned legislation
we can expect to see from you or your counterparts in the new year?"

"What exactly do you mean by "inform?"  That's the term the school board
(state employees) said in the cell tower memo and it really meant that if you
were not at the meeting then they will go ahead
and vote to destroy your neighborhood
and radiate your child and
assume you are
okay with
it.
So, is that what this meeting is all about?"

"Will you be introducing the new charter school commission
to anyone in the state of Georgia or is that just something
you are doing for the out of state stakeholders in our
education system?"

"Are you aware of the large number of school buses that our DeKalb
School System is continuing to buy even when they are consolidating school?
Why, then, did the state also approve funding for MORE buses?  Where are you
planning on sending all of our children for their education?  Or what
children will you be bringing here?  "

"Do you think we are stupid?"

"Are you stupid?"

"Can you please explain the state QBE funding formula for education
and then explain why you are not doing something to change it."

"Why did DeKalb Democrats have little or no Republican opposition in the Primary
Elections this year for some very critical offices?  Do you think
we have closet Republicans infiltrating the Democratic Party?"

"Do you think it is possible that our county school system is being deliberately run
into the ground so that Republicans can push forth their ALEC driven agendas and
punish Democratic voters at the same time?

"Do you know anyone who has been diagnosed with cancer
this past year?  Do you know how close they live to
a cell phone tower and are you at all concerned?"

"How  many arbitrary non-binding advisory referendums do
you expect for the taxpayers to waste their money on
this year?"

"How exactly did the final maps ever get approved, but not given to the public?

Why are members of the state advocating for more citihoods in DeKalb?

"Are you planning to start a charter school?  Have you ever actually
met someone who told you they wanted a charter school who lives
in your district?"

"How did you vote on the issue of limiting lobbyist spending?"

"If welfare recipients must submit to random drug tests before they get
paid, then will you be okay with doing the same since your salary is
also paid by taxpayers."

"Are you using mind control on us right now?"

"If you wanted t end the battle between the North / South DeKalb
and work together, would you want to?)

"How many fingers am I holding up?"

"Are you in favor of virtual schools?  Why do you think a virtual classroom
would be better than an actual classroom?  And, shouldn't the per pupil dollars be adjusted
for the fact that there are no buildings?"

"What exactly do you eat at a $1,000 lunch anyway?"

Do you ever invite your constituents to come along on a lobbyist-funded lunch?

If the DeKalb School Board's policy states that you must live in the district for a year
before you can run for office, then why did you approve Jim McMahan to run
in District ?

Can you explain how an issue like the call for a ban on cell towers on school grounds,
which had overwhelming countywide support, could not move forward for a vote?

Will anyone here today consider a bill that would revert DeKalb County's schol board
race to partisan one since they are obviously operating in politically motivated ways?
The voters have a right to know who they are voting for and  if political agendas might
get in the way of doing what is right for the children.
