They will be voting on whether or not to take out loans, costing us $25 million in interest over the next five years "for the children" because of the decision to close certain schools will free up that money because it will not be needed for improvements at closed schools. Did anyone ever tell these guys that an emergency fund might be a good idea? Just because you CAN borrow the money doesn't mean you SHOULD. Hello, recession lesson 101 people, come on!
