UPDATED: TONIGHT'S MEETING IN DUNWOODY: The Talk Circuit for Michael Thurmond

Check our EVENTS page for details about this and other upcoming meetings!
MLK High School hosted Michael Thurmond Thursday, Feb. 28, 2012.

We all heard about the not-so-warm welcome that Interim Superintendent Michael Thurmond received from a standing room only crowd at Oak Grove last month, right?  Well, that has not deterred him from continuing to address the public, at informal gatherings where he invites feedback.

It was reported that he spoke to concerned citizens at Martin Luther King Jr. High School recently.  Click here for a report:  DeKalb Parents Give Super an Earfull

And, now, it appears that he may be bringing the show to Dunwoody, but he has tentative travel plans that may cause him to reschedule for April.  If he is able to attend, it will be the first opportunity parents will have to ask questions after hearing the result of the federal decision on removal of our board members.  That takes place today, March 1, at 2:30 p.m.  Here is more detail.

So, if all goes well, you can come out to hear the Superintendent and learn about his mission to save accreditation.
