  1. I cannot believe the county is doing this to our children. I live in Lithonia and will be telling everyone I know about it. Thank you!

  2. It has recently come to my attention that there is a proposal being considered to allow a cell phone tower to be erected at the Narvie J. Harris Elementary School. I am sending this email to express my concern and disagreement with the approval of this proposal. I am truly hoping that this is a proposal that will be denied, as there are numerous reports and testimonials confirming the dangers of the levels of radiation emitted from cell phone towers. More importantly, the studies show that this type of radiation has a more harmful and long term effect on children. Diseases like leukemia have been found to develop at three times the rate of those children living over seven miles away from these towers. I am contacting you out of concern. I am not certain of how widespread the outrage is among the parents and administrators of Narvie J. Harris, however I would hope that our elected officials have done their due diligence in researching and identifying the effects this type of radiation exposure can have on our children. Please realize that my one voice/email potentially represents hundreds of parents expressing the same concern, just not in writing. It infuriates me to think that this proposal is even being considered. Our children deserve more. We have social responsibility to contribute to the health and welfare of our community… of our children. Mr. Cunningham, I ask you to consider this email, do your research and do everything in your power to prevent this proposal from being approved. Thank you in advance for responding to my concerns,Parent of a student attending Narvie J. Harris Elementary school, one of the schools that received a proposal.
